It’s the only example of Vanwall’s replica of their 1958 F1 Championship car, the GPR V12. A couple of years back, Vanwall, which is a successful maker of composite racing components, produced what they hoped would be the first in a series of street legal recreations of their Stirling Moss-driven GP-winning race car. The car was a beautifully hand-built single seater with an alloy body and 370hp carbureted version of Jaguar’s 6.0-liter V-12. By all accounts, it was a terrific car.
