This 1958 Morgan has been professionally built for road racing in the style of the 1962 LeMans team car which won its class. It is finished in Porsche Signal Yellow with widened Jaguar Indigo Blue fenders, and is ready to drive. It is available in Berkeley, California for $60k obo.
The late 50’s 4/4 is regarded by many to have the best proportions of any Morgan roadster. This one takes that design to the next level with a tasteful rollbar, lowered stance, and reversed steel wheels. The broject was started on a clean 30k-mile chassis. The photo below shows the factory car taking the checkered flag at LeMans in 1962.
The relief on the passenger side of the bonnet is for the big velocity stacks on the carburetors. The oil cooler and deleted bumpers help give the car an aggressive look, and the windshield has custom pillars to give it extra rake.
